Social Media Manager & Content Creator
Full-Time | Six-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Portia & Alexa Hair Extensions
We’re looking for a creative, confident Social Media Manager & Content Creator to bring our brand to life through engaging content, beautiful hair looks and collaborations with our salon clients.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both planning content and creating it. A hairstyling or hairdressing background is highly desirable, and experience wearing, styling or professionally applying hair extensions is an advantage.
What you’ll do
- Manage our social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
- Plan a content calendar around product launches, promotions, seasonal trends and customer interests.
- Coordinate content creation with our hairdresser and salon clients, showcasing their work and client transformations.
- Create and style your own hair looks using our extensions, demonstrating their versatility.
- Be a face of the brand, appearing in videos, product demonstrations, tutorials and behind-the-scenes content.
- Organise content shoots, including concepts, mood boards, models, salon partners, locations and schedules.
- Film and edit Reels, TikToks, Stories and product content for social media, our website and advertising.
- Create educational content covering extension types, colour matching, styling and approved aftercare guidance.
- Capture before-and-after transformations, customer testimonials and salon success stories.
- Build relationships with hairstylists, creators and brand ambassadors, and coordinate collaborations.
- Write captions and develop engaging content that reflects our brand voice.
- Engage with our online community and direct customer enquiries to the appropriate team.
- Track content performance and use the results to improve engagement, reach and sales.
- Maintain an organised content library and coordinate permissions to use customer and collaborator images.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in social media management and content creation, ideally within hair, beauty or fashion.
- A hairstyling or hairdressing background is highly desirable.
- Confidence on camera and enthusiasm for representing the brand.
- Strong filming, editing, photography and copywriting skills.
- An eye for beautiful hair, detail and consistent brand presentation.
- Excellent organisation and the ability to coordinate several shoots and collaborations.
- A proactive approach, with fresh ideas and the ability to take them from concept to finished content.
- Experience with hair extensions, either personally or professionally, is an advantage.

Position details
Employment: Full-time, six-month fixed-term contract
Location: Norwest, Sydney NSW
Working days and hours: TBA/ Flexible
Remuneration: $80,000–$95,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience. Full-time, six-month fixed-term contract, with salary paid proportionately for the contract period.
